EMPOWERING 250 INDONESIAN YOUTH AT NATIONAL CONVENTION IN LOVELAND

Updated: Jul 28

Closing message by Pastor Jayden Anggormas.

Xander Assa – Loveland, Colorado … The first-ever Adventist Indonesian Youth & Young Adult Ministries Convention (AIYMCON) took place at Campion Academy in Loveland, Colorado, from July 10-14. This landmark event, led by passionate Indonesian youth leaders, pastors, and young adults from across the country, aimed to unite and empower the next generation of the Adventist Indonesian community.

One participant shared, “I experienced a unity within the Indo community that I’ve never felt before. Nobody knew what to expect, but everyone left feeling blessed. Many felt revived and were brought to tears.” They added, “My goal is to tear down walls for those who feel disconnected. The Holy Spirit was in every detail.”

The convention drew 250 registrants and 800 attendees for the Saturday morning Sabbath service, with participants traveling from multiple states. Activities included seminars on mental health and marriage, youth-led worship, sermons from Indonesian pastors, small group sessions, a career fair, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

“AIYMCON was a statement of unity,” remarked Xander Assa, pastor and co-creator. “Three souls decided for baptism, and two for pastoral ministry. Many friendships were forged, and a spiritual revival was experienced. This marks a groundbreaking shift towards unity.”

Mickey Mallory, Rocky Mountain Conference Ministerial Director, added, “It was amazing to see the youth and young adults praising Jesus. Kudos to Pastor Xander and his team. The turnout showed the hunger for worship and fellowship opportunities.”

The Colorado Indonesian-American Seventh-day Adventist Church (CIASDAC) is blessed that the youth of CIASDAC were part of this powerful convention.
